Egyptian Revival

Completed in 1927, Boise's Egyptian Theatre was inspired by the Edfu Temple in Egypt at a time when such exotic movie palaces were all the rage. Restored in 1999, it is still in active use as a theater today.

One of only two Egyptian theaters on the West Coast (the other is in Hollywood), the Egyptian Theatre in Coos Bay retains much more of its original design, including the original stage fittings and organ.
