Nos.30-34 (Consec) (Formerly Listed as: MARLBOROUGH BUILDINGS Nos 1-26 (consec). Nos 27 & 28. Nos 29-34 (consec)) 12/06/50

GV II

Five houses to right hand end of symmetrical terrace overlooking Royal Victoria Park to rear. c1789. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, double pitched slate mansard roofs with paired dormers and moulded stacks to coped party walls. PLAN: Double depth plans with staircases to front right. EXTERIOR: Three storeys with attics and basements, mostly three-window fronts. Continuous coped parapet, cornice, lintel frieze, upper floor sill bands, ground floor platband, chamfered rusticated ground floor with radial voussoirs, and plinth. Formerly all had six/six-pane sash windows and semicircular arches over doors to right of each house, all but No.34, right terminal, have later projecting porches with parapets, cornices, moulded architraves and cornices on consoles over doors. No.30 has single storey porch and balconettes to two left hand first floor windows. No.31 has low three storey porch rusticated to ground floor and plate glass sash windows to two left hand bays. No.32 has single storey porch. No.33 similar to No.32 with some plate glass windows. No.34 has two-window range with balconettes to upper floor windows.
