GV II
Includes: Walls around grounds of Church of St Mark HALL CLOSE Marske. Churchyard walls. c1866, altered c1921, by FP Cockerell. Rock-faced sandstone with ashlar coping. Low walls enclose churchyard, altered to form recess around War Memorial (qv); interrupted by piers at 2m intervals and by wrought-iron gates to south porch and timber gates to vestry at east. Flat coping to walls and stepped hipped coping to piers, from which hang chain links.
