Detached house. 1804-7. Brick faced with cobbles and brick dressings (now painted) on the east and north fronts, brick laid in English bond on south and west fronts, rendered stacks, roof of slate. 2 storeys over basement with dormers, 4-window range. Doric porch with pediment and panelled soffit; panelled reveals to flat-arched entrance with fanlight and panelled door of original design; single-storey canted bay to left of porch; windows otherwise segmental-arched with sashes of original design except for first-floor right; 2 dormers in roof. South front has 2 windows with slightly cambered arches and 3 with sashes of original design; one dormer; rendered side stack; north side has one bay under lean-to roof and then a rough cobbled wing with pitched roof and brick stack; rear or west elevation has one window with horizontal sliding sash, cobbled outshut and 2 side stacks. INTERIOR: not inspected.
