Includes: Anselm Court (Nos.1, 2, 3 and 4) ANGEL HILL. House, now divided into 4 flats approached from Athenaeum Lane. C17 with C18 and later alterations. Timber-framed; roughcast in panels on the slightly projecting upper storey; red brick to the ground storey, probably underbuilding a former jetty. C20 plaintiled roof, with a mansard form at the rear. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attics; the principal front faces Angel Hill. A 2-storey extension on the north with a single pitch lean-to roof has plain render to the upper storey, and on the ground storey a continuation of the red brick of the main range. 3 C20 mullion and transom windows to the principal upper storey with diamond leading to the top lights and wooden aprons below; 2 sashes with a single vertical bar in flush cased frames to the extension, and 4 similar windows across the whole of the ground storey. 2 flat-headed dormers have 2-light casement windows with glazing-bars in lozenge form. On the left, a 6-panel door with a moulded wood surround and a plain rectangular fanlight. INTERIOR not inspected. Included for group value as part of the street scene on Angel Hill
