SP4735 ADDERBURY HIGH STREET (West side) Adderbury East 7/50 Garden wall approx. lOm to S of The Grange
GV II Garden wall. Probably late C17, possibly incorporating C15 features. Coursed marlstone rubble with some ashlar dressings. Wall is approximately 2 metres high and extends approximately 65 metres between the garden of The Grange (q.v.) and the churchyard. The flat stone-and-mortar coping rises over a doorway which has a chamfered stone surround. At the eastern end by the churchyard gateway a section of an earlier lower wall, approximately 2 metres long with a crenellated coping, has been incorporated. Included for group value.
