BROAD STREET 1. 1485 (South Side) Walling, railings at Sheldonian Theatre and ornamental piers fronting Broad Street SP 5106 SW 8/148A SP 5106 SE 9/148A I GV 2. Screen, with ashlar plinth and piers and wrought iron railings. The statues round the north exterior front on Broad Street were replaced in 1868 in Milton Stone and the steps were re-designed in 1949 The screen, and especially the 'Caesars' are at present undergoing restoration (1971). (See also The museum of the History oooff Science).
