COLSTERWORTH NEWTON WAY SK 9224-9324 (south side) 11/27 No.47 24.9.79 G.V. II Cottage. C17 with C19 additions and alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with quoins. Steeply pitched pantile roof with single gable and ridge brick stacks. Lobby entry plan. The gable stack has the remains of a stone plinth. Single storey with garret, 3 bay front having off-centre half glazed door with to right a small blocked opening and an early metal 6 light pivot window and to right a small casement. All openings have timber lintels. To left a later lower extension. Interior retains simply chamfered beams and 2 inglenook fireplaces with timber bressumers.
