DONNINGTON DONNINGTON VILLAGE SP 12 NE 3/103 Nos. 1/2, 3, 4 and 5 The Row 25.8.60 GV II Formerly five cottages now four. Late C17-early C18 (possibly in two phases), C18, C19 and C20. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, ashlar stacks, some repaired in brick. Rectangular plan to late C17-early C18 part, extended left C18 and C19; C20 extensions rear left not of special interest. Main body; 2 storeys and attic lit by 4 roof dormers, one with raking roof. 5-windowed facade; double-chamfered, stone-mullioned cross windows with stopped hoods and horizontal glazing bars to late C17-early C18 main body, C20 two-light casements within partially blocked C18 plain window surrounds with keystones left of main body. C19 extension with lower roof left lit by single 2-light window inserted in former doorway. Doors, left to right; C20 plank door. C20 stable door in plain surround, C20 four-panel door right in segmental headed surround. C20 plank door far right in dressed surround. Raking canopy supported on timber brackets over each door. Roll-moulded gable-end coping, moulded kneelers axial and gable-end stacks. Interiors not inspected.
