PARISH OF CHATSWORTH CHATSWORTH GARDENS SK 2669 6/63 12.7.67 Urn to Blanche (formerly listed as Urn in Chatsworth Park) GV II Urn, forming the southern termination of the Broad Walk. c1840. Sandstone ashlar. Plain square pedestral with moulded base, surmounted by a tall ashlar urn, inscribed BLANCHE. It was erected by the Sixth Duke of Devonshire in memory of his nephew's wife, Lady Blanche Howard, who died in 1840. The Gardens and Park are included on the Gardens Register at Grade I.
