ST CATHERINE'S COLLEGE 1. 942 Bull Hostel TL 4458 SE 6/203 26.4.50. II 2. 1828; 4 storeys with attics; stone ashlar; mansard slate roof; symmetrically designed front of 4 bays on South, second and eighth bays projecting slightly; ground floor rusticated; moulded cornice below parapet; windows above ground floor with moulded architraves, glazing bars, and 1st floor windows with cornices and balcony. Stone ashlar porch with plain piers, moulded cappings and entablatures. The original design was 7 bays only, the eight is modern and projects over the re-aligned King's Lane. The interior has an original staircase and many enriched plaster cornices. (RCHM).
