ST JOHN'S COLLEGE 1. 942 New Bridge TL 4458 NE 3/283 26.4.50. I 2. Known as the 'Bridge of Sighs'. 1827, by Henry Hutchinson. Single-span bridge of stone with highly decorative Neo-Gothic covered footwalk over with traceried openings. There is a three bay arcade at the East end of the bridge, and contemporary with it. (RCHM).
