4/233 Bridge Cottage

II Farmhouse, now house. Late C17 and C18. Brick and flint chequerwork, rendered to front, and tiled roof. Two storeys, 3 bays, extended by a narrower bay, now study, at south end, c1950. Half-glazed door with pitched tiled canopy on brackets. C19 six- paned sashes, irregularly placed, and 4 bays of narrow 4-paned sashes, some paired, at rear. North end bay of separate and earlier build. Gable stacks. Internally, kitchen within earlier north bay, has deep chamfered spine beam with cut scoop stops. Open fireplace against front wall, now blocked. Centre unheated-bay and south bay, now drawing room, has cross beam and blocked gable stack.
