9/88 Gazebo approximately 50 metres south-east of East Hall
GV II
Gazebo. Early C18. For Leonard Hartley. Rubble, pantile roof. 2 storeys, 1 cell. C20 6-panel door to lower chamber below steps up to similar door to first-floor room. Hipped roof with urn finial. Left return: C20 windows, of 7 panes to first floor. Interior: lower chamber is barrel vaulted but has no original features remaining. First-floor room: whole of west wall occupied by simple fireplace with panelled overmantel painted with picture of flowers in vase flanked by Corinthian marble columns, panelling and cupboards with doors of 8 fielded panels; moulded chair rail around walls except on south side were a window has been blocked up; fielded panel shutters to east window.
