House shown as Holly Cottage on OS map. Early-mid C19. Coursed, dressed sandstone with ashlar dressings; concrete tile roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 2-window range; Single-storey one-bay side wing set back on left. Large quoins. Doorway to right of centre has raised-edge architrave beneath moulded cornice; 6-panel door, the top 2 lights glazed. Sashes with glazing bars have projecting stone sills and raised-edge architraves. Eaves band to hipped roof with renewed ashlar end stack on left. Side wing has blocked doorway and a sash with glazing bars. INTERIOR: original staircase with turned newels, square rods and ramped handrail. Some original 6-panel doors and architraves.
