NORTHALLERTON HIGH STREET SE 3693-3793 (west side) 7/37 No 175A (Newton House) 9.12.69 GV II House, now shop. Probably early C19 with later alterations. Rendered, pantile roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. In 1st bay, 3-panel door in rusticated chamfered quoined ashlar surround with large keystones; to right, C20 shop front with 3 plate-glass lights and part-glazed door. First floor: 4-pane sash windows with projecting sills and wedge lintels. Parapet with three sections of balustrading separated by plain panels. Ashlar coping to right.
