DEERHURST B4213, Lower Apperley SO 82 NE (north side) 3/37 No 24 II Cottage. Late C17 or early C18, enlarged mid C19, minor alteration C20. Brick-nogged timber framing; render; tiled roof. Three bays, one room deep, 1½ storeys. House gable on to,road: left return: single and 2-light casements, single-storey brick porch, boarded door, gable over: 2-light casement to left, iron opening light. Above triangular dormer from eaves, 2-light casement, decorative barge boards. Chimney on ridge behind porch; just behind ridge on right gable. Gable rendered, with framing painted on; C20 casement window each floor, decorative barge boards as dormer. Most ornamental example of Apperley Court estate cottages.
