4/33 Sandford House
- II
Villa, now 2 houses. Early C19 and c1868. For the Harrison family. Ashlar and coursed rubble; felt roof, formerly leaded. Main block of c1868 fronts earlier block which became service range. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Entrance front: ashlar. Plinth; corner pilasters supporting entablature of frieze, cornice and blocking course. Central 8-panel door below overlight in Doric portico with blocking course. To left, projecting square bay with 3-light window and flat roof. Other windows, sashes in architraves. Flat roof. 8- chimney stack rising from centre of roof. Side elevations and earlier range (now separate house) of coursed rubble. Rainwater pipe now removed from main house was dated 1868.
