GV II

Farmhouse, now house. Late C17 with late C18 refenestration. Rubble, stone slate and pantile roof. 2 storeys, 4 first-floor windows. Windows have cemented lintels, ashlar sills and renewed sash frames. Below third first- floor window, board door with wrought-iron strap hinges in ashlar architrave. To its right, 4-pane light vent. On first floor, above, a sash window with glazing bars. In first and second bays, 20-pane sash windows. In bay 4, sash windows with glazing bars. Between first and second bays, moulded rainwater hopper and lead pipe. Stone slates to lower courses of roof, pantiles above. Raised verges. Brick stacks between first and second bays and at end right. Interior: in ground-floor room to left of door, 2 very large first-floor beams, roughly chamfered but not stopped, 1 probably formed ingle as there is a salt box and a blocked fire window. In first- floor room to extreme left, fragment of older, lower roof-truss, perhaps a concave wind brace and sprocket, or a fragment of a cruck blade.
