SETTLE HIGHWAY SD 8263 (east side) 11/14 Sutcliffe House 7.4.77 GV II Formerly house, now flats. Early C19. for S Parker. Slobbered rubble, stone dressings, stone slate roof. Two-span roof. 3 storeys plus basement, 3 bays. An entrance either side of central bay has plain surround and slab hood; 6-panel doors, that on left has rectangular fanlight. All windows have plain surrounds: 3 ground floor and 3 first floor have 16 pane sashes; first floor sill band. Second floor windows are smaller and have 8 paned casements. Chamfered quoins, modil- lioned eaves. Two ridge stacks and gable-end ridge stacks equally spaced. Right-hand return has segmental-headed arch with keystone inscribed P Rear SE 1841. faces downslope and is 4 storeys, 6 bays with 2 entrances and fenestration in similar style to front.
