GREAT MILTON CHURCH ROAD SP60SW (West side) 5/117 Northern section of wall approx. 8m. E of the Great House
GV II
Wall and gatepier corresponding to southern section (q.v.). C18/C19. Coursed squared limestone rubble and ashlar. Wall is about 2.2m. high and has flat stone coping. Plain ashlar pier with flat cap is about 2.5m. high and stands to right of pedestrian entrance opposite main door of the Great House (q.v.). Walls form an important element in the relationship of the Great House with The Church of St. Mary (q.v.). Included for group value.
