TQ 2782 SE CITY OF WESTMINSTER IVOR PLACE, NWL 34/25 No. 5 (Gloucester Arms Public House) G.V. II Corner public house. c.1840-50 alteration of c.1820 Gloucester Place Portman Estate, terrace house as pub, or built as such with mid C.19 refurbishment. Stock brick with channelled stucco ground floor; slab roof. 4 storeys. 2 windows wide with one window, 2 storey, slightly recessed wing and 2-window wide return front to Gloucester Place. Public house pilastered frontage with entablature-fascia to Ivor Place; bar window flanked by doorways. Gloucester Place front has 2 segmental header ground floor windows in eared architraves with keyblocks. Upper floors of both fronts have recessed glazing bar sashes under flat gauged arches. Parapet with stone coping to Ivor Place; stucco quoins to Gloucester Place and stucco band finish to parapet.
