SALT AND ENSON BRICK KILN LANE 1. (North side) 5373 SJ 92 NE 17/9 Engine House in II Weston Quarry 2.

Engine house. Dated 1823. Large ashlar sandstone blocks, backed into and partly cut into surrounding rock face. Unroofed at time of listing. 2 levels with opening to upper level at left side. Front of two 2-light mullioned windows on first floor with pediment-gable with coping over. Central date plaque reading '1823'. Two doorways paired at left of ground-floor both with raised surrounds. Entrance to ground floor also on right side. The opening on the upper level on the left side formerly housed the arm of the beam engine.
