15.4.69 Nos 47 to 52 (consec) GV II

Terrace of large houses. Circa 1859-60 C J Richardson architect. The "Albert Houses". Extremely grand stuccoed terrace. Five storeys, 3 windows each. Colonnade to ground storey supporting individual 1st floor Ionic porticos. Intricately designed cast iron balustrades to balconies which are supported by enriched consoles with drops of flowers and grapes. Attic cornice with central segmental pediments to each house, richly decorated. Area railings. Survey of London Vol 38.
