GV II

Drinking fountain. Dated 1880. Sandstone with granite shafts and bowl; stone flag roof. Shallow bowl on squat column with elaborate waterleaf capital beneath cusped pointed arch, with dated shield of York arms and lion mask waterspout in the tympanum. Above is steeply gabled canopy with carp and fish-tail finials. Reverse to Museum Gardens identical with St Peter's keys on heraldic shield.
