SE 16 SE BEWERLEY BEWERLEY 8/86 Barn on west side of farmyard at the farmstead
GV II
Haybarn now loose box. c1870. For the Yorke family of Bewerley Hall. Deeply-coursed dressed sandstone, graduated Welsh slate roof. Tall, single storey; approximately 3 bays. South side has a large sliding door in rebate beneath massive stone lintel; to right is a slatted casement, above the door are slit vents and a square hatch. Hipped roof. Opposite end has 3 rows of slit vents and a boarded hatch. Small doorway in east side (now within later milking shed). Included for group value as part of planned home farm formerly serving Bewerley Hall.
