SU 46 SW PENWOOD MAIN STREET (south side) 1/8 Lodge Cottage

Small house. Mid C19. Painted brickwork in English bond, slate roof, unpainted brick stacks. A small 2-storey 2-room cottage with rear entry, and attached scullery or wash house. Two window front, at ground floor 2-light smaller pane casements, and at first floor 2-light horizontal bar casements. To left a wide lean-to with a blocked doorway to segmental head. At back a small light in the lean-to, central door, and small gabled extension with 2-light casement to brick ill. Low-pitched hipped roof to deep caves; lofty central stack, eaves stack to left, ridge stack to scullery. Modest but practically unaltered exterior.
