TQ 3080 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER SURREY STREET, WC2 73/24 Nos 33 and 34 5.2.70 G.V. II Pair of terrace houses. c1750-60. Stock brick, tiled and slated roofs. 3 storeys, basement and dormered mansards. Each front 3 windows wide. Entrances to left hand; wooden doorcases with pilasters and consoles carrying entablatures with dentil cornices and fluted friezes; panelled doors recessed in panelled reveals, No 33 with rectangular fanlight, No 34 with semicircular fanlight. Recessed sash windows, glazing bars intact to No 34, under flat gauged arches. Brick plat bands to 1st floor; parapets with plain copings. Cast iron area railings with flambé torch finials. Interiors, with closet wings, retain panelling and cornices and some of chimney pieces with pilastered archways from hall to open well staircase with cut, carved strings and turned balusters etc.
