TQ 2782 SE CITY OF WESTMINSTER PARK ROAD, NW1 (west side) 34/32 Nos 1 to 29 (odd) 5.2.70 GV II Long terrace of houses, Nos 1 and 3 with shops. c1820 Portman Estate develop- ment. Stock brick with stuccoed ground floor, No 17 entirely stuccoed; con- cealed slate roofs. 4 storeys and basement. 2-window wide fronts, apart from No 17 with 3 windows and No 29 with one window and 3-window wide return with full height bow. Semicircular arched doorways, to left up to No 16, to right up to adjoining ones of Nos 26-27 and to left again; panelled doors, moulded or pilastered jambs and fanlights. Plain shop fronts to Nos 1 and 3. Recessed sashes, most with glazing bars and some with stucco architraves and cornices, otherwise under flat gauged arches to upper floors. Plat band over ground floor. Coped parapets. Cast iron geometric balconies to 1st floor except for No 29. No 17 has wrought iron trellis verandah with tent roof. Cast iron spearhead area railings. Jose de San Martin "El Liberador" stayed at No 23 (GLC plaque).
