8/4 The Coach House

G.V. II

Coach house to Battlefields (q.v.), now house. Early C19 with C20 alterations and additions. Limestone rubble and ashlar, asbestos slate roof. L-plan. 2 storeys, 4 windows, ground floor has round-headed arched recess with C20 door, 3 segmental- headed arched recesses, 2 to left with 15-pane sashes with segmental heads, stable doors to right, first floor has 4 sashes with cills, cornice, parapet and coping with 2 urns. Block to left in rubble has 5 windows, all of 2 lights with moulded mullions and surrounds, blocked oval bull's eye above, small gable, cornice and parapet carried over, weathervane, ashlar quoins. Rear and interior not accessible.
