GV II

Formerly the Black Swan Inn, now shop. Mid-late C18, with earlier origins, and late C19 and C20 alteration. Red brick in Flemish bond with painted arches of gauged brick, on rendered plinth; painted stone quoins and timber eaves cornice. Coped gables, shaped kneelers and brick end stacks, one rebuilt, to pantile roof. 3-storeys-and-attic; 4-window front. C20 shop front on ground floor with pedimental centre doorway between windows each of 3 round-arched lights. First floor windows are 12-pane sashes, paired to right, beneath keyed flat arches. Second floor windows are 4-pane sashes beneath flat arches without keyblocks. All windows have painted stone sills. Prominent moulded and dentilled eaves cornice. 2 inserted gabled dormers to attic, with 2x6-light sliding sashes.
