SP 13 NW BROADWAY CP - 5/6 Middle Hill II House. Early C19. Limestone ashlar with hipped slate roof. Two storeys with attic. Entrance front, on south-east side, a symmetrical composition of five bays with and central bay projecting under a pediment, and with a modillion cornice. Windows are sashed with glazing bars. The central window has an architrave with fluted frieze and dentilled cornice and has a swag below the sill. Four attic dormers. The doorway has four panelled pilasters with palm leaf capitals, a fluted frieze with paterae, and a cornice with central pediment. Between the outer pilasters are windows with glazing bars. The doorway is approached by stone steps. To each side the basement area is enclosed by a balustrade. Chimneys to left and right and towards rear. Late C19 additions to the right were demolished in 1977. The left-hand (south- west) facade has a central bow.
