SP 13 NW BROADWAY CP - 5/4 Dor Knap II House. Formed from an early C18 row of two larger central and two smaller end cottages with early C20 alterations and additions. Coursed rubble, some stone dressings, plain tile and stone slate roofs. Stone coped gables between each unit and coped end gable to south unit. Four stone stacks with moulded cornices, one brick stack. Two storeys and attics, single-storey C20 additions. C20 gabled single-storey wing projection from the north end of the row forms the north side of the small entrance forecourt. Entrance doorway at north end of C20 lean-to extension added to the west side of the larger northern unit. A partially walled service yard in front of southern units. Early C20 north wing, built to contain a large drawing room, has gable-end stack with an oval window to right and a large 2-light stone mullioned and upper transom window to left with rectangular pane leaded lights. Similar 4-light mullion and transom windows at either end of north wall of wing. Two sets of 4-light mullioned windows to right of vertical boarded entrance door with diamond pane leaded glazing. To first floor, above lean-to, a 3-light mullioned window on left. A 3-light case- ment roof dormer with bars to right. Three casement windows with glazing bars to first floor of larger south unit, with large glazed entrance porch to left. Irregular casement fenestration in rear walls of row, partial rebuilding in concrete block, two roof dormers. Interior: the original planning has been changed by C20 alterations.
