KIMBOLTON HIGH STREET TL 095675 (SOUTH-WEST SIDE) 6/31 NO. 1 (INCLUDES 24.10.51 NO. 2 CASTLE GREEN) GV II C16 timber-framed house occupying a corner position. Two storeys, possibly two original buildings sharing central passageway with later rear wing (Nos. 2 and 3 Castle Green). Roughcast rendered with steeply pitched plain tile roof raised in front elevation; two stacks, coved eaves cornice. Street facade has three first floor horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars in moulded frames; and two larger, similar, windows flanking a four panelled door with a plain wooden architrave. Windows and door have plain plaster margin surrounds. Interior has original side purlin roof with wind braces. Coved ceiling to north-east bedroom, and large inglenook hearth. RCHM (Hunts) p175.
