GV II

House. Late C18. Brick; hipped Welsh slate roof; brick stack to rear. EXTERIOR: symmetrical 3 storeys; 5-window range: late C19 plain round-headed sashes under semicircular arches with stone springers and keyblocks; storeyband; 6/6 sashes under soldier arches with stone springers; moulded wood eaves. Central entrance: 8 fielded-panel door and plain fanlight under gauged brick semicircular arch with stone springers and keyblock; projecting moulded wood hood on wrought-iron stays; flanked by rusticated brick pilasters, and pairs of sashes; storeyband. Right returned side: late C19, 2-tier bay with tripartite 2/2: 4/4: 2/2 sash, over French window and plain overlight, flanked by 2/2 sashes; gauged brick flat arches; terracotta band; moulded wood eaves; obscured storeybands; two 6/6 sashes over; returned eaves detail. Left returned side: terracotta band to 1st floor; C19 wing with wood mullion window with 4/4: 4/4 sashes; terracotta eaves; brick stack. INTERIOR: C18 dogleg staircase with turned balusters; wall cupboard. 2nd floor: 3 and 4-panel door; 2-panel door; architraves to windows; cornices; splayed lined reveals. 1st floor: 4-panel doors; cornices; panelled risers to windows with architraves; C18 wood bolection moulded fireplace. Half-landing floor: 4, 4-panel doors, 1, 2-panel door, with architraves; architraves to windows; arches with mouldings. Ground floor: cornices; bolection moulded fireplace; two 6-panel doors with architraves; panelled risers and architraves to windows. Front right: bolection moulded fireplace; panelling; cornice; moulded architrave to bay window; 4-panel doors. Cellar: stone and brick-lined; chamfered ceiling beams; brick floors; 2 plank doors.
