- Stone and brick garden wall bearing tablet inscribed:- "I, Sir Hugh Cholmely, Kt and Bart, and Elizabeth my dear wife (daughter to Sir Wm Twisden of Great Peckham in ye County of Kent Kt and Bart) built this wall and planted this orchard Anno Domini 1652". Then follows a shield of arms of Cholmley impaling Twisden and "Our handy work like to the fruitful tree; 0 Lord let it not blasted be ".
