Pair of attached houses, part of a terrace. Late C18. Limestone ashlar, party wall stacks and interlocking tile mansard roof. Double-depth plan. Each of 3 storeys, attic and basement; 2-window range. Fluted pilaster strips to a cornice and crenellated parapet; left-hand semicircular-arched doorway, that to No.141 in the right return, with plate-glass fanlights, and plate-glass sashes in plain openings. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached front garden rubble walls with ashlar doorway to No.139 inscribed ROSSENDALE.
