BUCKNELL MIDDLETON ROAD SP52SW (East side) 6/22 Lodge Farmhouse - II

Farmhouse. Early C18 and late C18. Limestone rubble with wooden lintels; plain-tile roof with rebuilt brick stacks. 2-unit central-stair plan extended to L-plan. 2 storeys. 3 bays to left of 4-window front are earlier and have 2-light leaded casements plus a central doorway; added bay has a further doorway and a casement at each floor, the lower window renewed. Roof has stacks to right of each section. Rear wing, with wooden casements, returns from the right gable wall, which has a "County" insurance plaque. Rear of main range has further casements, some retaining leaded glazing. Interior: Large chimney breasts in both sections plus a blocked oven; stop-chamfered beams Formerly known as Bucknell Lodge.
