AVEBURY HIGH STREET SU 06 NE (north side) 11/93 Churchyard Cottages
GV II
Two cottages in one block, now one dwelling. C17 and C19. Whitewashed sarsen, part brick and roughcast to front. Thatched roof. Two storeys, 4 bays. Original structure of 2 bays, extended to right in sarsen after early C18, and to left in brick in 1865. Two boarded doors to front with bracketed hoods. Timber casement windows. Stack before right extension and to left gable. Thatch half hipped and swept down at rear over outshut. Brick rear extension to left cottage.
