4/44 Monument to Margret Carter approximately 21 metres south of priest's door of Church of St Agatha
GV II
Chest tomb. c1735. For Margret Carter of Brompton on Swale, died 1735, wife of Robert Carter (qv). Sandstone ashlar. Corner balusters flanking carved panels. North side has inscription on central panel, with carving of cherub with torches to left, and portrait of Mrs Carter to right. South side has plain central panel, with carving of cherub to left and cherub's head with cross-bones to right. East end with cherubs. West end with skull, candle, torches and cherubs.
