The Ship Inn

Public House. Probably late C16 with much later alteration including C20 additions to rear and at right angles to original range. Timber-framed, partly cased in brick, whitewashed, and partly rendered. Pantile roof with Victorian bargeboard to gable. Rebuilt end chimneys. 2-storeys. Gable end to road. C19 porch and 2 square bays with sash windows, 2 late C19 sashes above. To east side on large Yorkshire sash and a smaller one above. Entrance to modern side wing to north. Interior: ground floor stout transverse and longitudinal beams with tongued chamfer stops. Fireplace beam. Inglenook with windows to each side.
