Chatsworth House

II

Large House. Early-mid C19. Pinkish-brown local brick with sandstone dressings including 1st floor band, lintels and cills. The 2-storey central porch is also stone. Overhanging hipped Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys and basement. 5 bays. A flight of stone steps leads to the porch of baseless Tuscan engaged columns distyle in antis. Above,a window in a stone recess flanked by pairs of pilasters with pilaster jambs. Sash windows with glazing bars. To rear, a pair of stone bows which have sash windows with glazing bars curved on plan and bracketed cornices.
