6/18 The Farmhouse at Great Shepcroft Farm

Farmhouse 1731, altered and extended at rear and to left. Pebbledashed brick; grey slate roof with flush pebbledashed gable chimneys. Of 2½ storeys and 2 windows with bands at first floor and eaves. Central (blocked) door surmounted by stone with carved White Rose and insciption "George Eaton of the Pole 1731". (A connection with the de la Pole family was claimed). Front windows probably C19 with inset casements. Attic windows in gables are blocked.

Interior chamfered oak beams. One door of broad boards on H hinges upstairs.
