UFTON NERVET CHURCH LANE (north-east side) SU 66 NW 3/9 The Old Rectory Including Courtyard To West G.V. II House. Early C18 with mid to late C19 alterations and additions. Red brick and rendered brick with old tile roofs. Rectangular plan with projecting gabled cross wing to east and 2 half hipped gables to north. South front; left-hand block: 2 storeys to front and 2½ storeys to rear. Rendered plat band, wooden dentil eaves cornice carried around left-hand gable end, dentil brick eaves cornice to rear, parapeted gable end to left, end stacks, and stack to rear. 5 bays, glazing bar sashes with exposed wooden boxes on first floor. C19 ground floor square bay window to left with segmental headed tripartite sash and hipped slate roof; C19 canted bay window to right with sashes and hipped slate roof; central half glazed door with 3 arched upper lights, 3 lower panels, arched side lights, and C19 porch with 4-panelled door, radial fanlight, and arched side lights. 3 bays to rear with central first floor glazing bar sash flanked by 2 tripartite glazing bar sashes in large arched recesses. Right-hand block: 2 storeys and garret with gable to front. Plat bands above ground and first floor windows, garret cill band, stack to right and end stack to rear. 2 bays with sashes, one in garret. Courtyard: early C19 screen wall set back to left approximately 10 metres long and 2 metres high. Red brick with timber lacing courses and dentil brick cornice. 7 bays, blank semi circular arches with imposts. Former coach house, now garage, to left of red brick with old tile roof and gable to front. L-plan. 2 stacks to rear and weathervane to front at left. 2 ground floor 2-light segmental headed casements and thermal window in gable end above.
