4/49 Granary approximately 5 metres to north-west of Home Farmhouse
GV II
Granary. Mid C18. For Robert Conyers Darcy, Earl of Holderness, of Hornby Castle (qv). Rubble with dressed sandstone dressings, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 first-floor openings. Plinth. Quoins. Ground floor, from left: small window; 2 quoined doorways with keyed lintels, the first partly blocked to form window, the second with a board door below overlight; small window; blocked matching doorway. Band. First floor: board pitching door as second opening, the others part-shuttered circular windows in dressed surrounds. Hipped roof. Rear: 4 matching circular first-floor windows.
