AMESBURY - SU 1541 11/6 Weir Bridge in Amesbury Abbey Park

II Bridge and weir on millstream of River Avon. C18. Limestone. Three stilted semicircular arches with keystones and wing abutments. String course and parapet with flush coping, horizontal over central section and angled down over side arches. Cutwaters and weir on upstream side, the sluice gates to each arch controlled from the bridge.
