WINTERBOURNE STOKE CHURCH STREET SU 04 SE (east side)
4/236 Old Glebe Farmhouse
II Farmhouse. C17 and C18, reworked C19. Flint and limestone, with C19 tiled roof banded with fishscale tiles. Left block of 2 storeys and basement, 1 bay. Thin limestone banding in flint walls, and stone quoins. Dripmould at first floor level. Windows altered C19, brick surrounds to 3-light timber windows, but return gable has stone-mullioned windows with label moulds. Two bay extension to south, of flint and stone chequerwork, also with mid wall dripmould. One bay of single light windows with stone surrounds, and end bay of 3-light stone-mullioned windows. Similar windows to south gable return but first floor windows removed. Rendered flat roofed extension to rear. Brick stack at junction of builds. Interior not seen, may be of interest.
