GV II

House. Early C19. Plastered, slate roof. Rectangular plan facing S, with 2 external stacks to rear. 2-storey lean-to extension to rear, and single-storey extensions beyond. 3 storeys. Ground floor, 2 early C19 sashes of 16 lights. First floor, 2 similar windows, and central sash of 12 lights, early C19. Attic floor, 3 early C19 horizontally sliding sashes of 8 lights. Central 6-panel door with moulded doorcase and elliptical arch over, enclosing fanlight with geometrical tracery. Low-pitched hipped roof. Built in 1810 (An Historical Sketch of the Congregational Church at Finchingfield, Essex, 1955, unsigned).
