TL 6832 FINCHINGFIELD THE GREEN (north side)

7/45 Ye Olde Nosebag 21.12.67 Restaurant (formerly listed as Prospect Terrace)

GV II

House, now a restaurant. C17 or earlier, altered in C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. Main range of 3 bays facing S, with stack in middle bay behind ridge. Crosswing of 4 bays at left, extending forwards and backwards to form a T-plan. C20 single-storey flat-roofed extension to left. Main range of 2 storeys and attics, crosswing of one storey and attic. Ground floor, former shop windows, and 2 C20 square bays. First floor, 4 C20 casements. Attic, one more in slated swept dormer, 2 C20 doors. C19 fretted bargeboards on gable of crosswing. 4 octagonal shafts, rebuilt. RCHM 23.
