Description
Two adjoining houses, formerly cottages and outbuildings, arranged in an 'L' shape. Dated 1693, 1755 and 1771, the latter dates relating to the present buildings, and with C20 alterations. Coursed rubble gritstone with plain gables and hipped south east end to south west range.

SK 27 NW PARISH OF EYAM WOODLANDS HAZELFORD 4/3 12.7.67 Cherry Cottage and attached dwelling at north west end (formerly listed as outbuilding at Leam Hall) GV II
Two adjoining houses, formerly cottages and outbuildings, arranged in an 'L' shape. Dated 1693, 1755 and 1771, the latter dates relating to the present buildings, and with C20 alterations. Coursed rubble gritstone with plain gables and hipped south east end to south west range. Intermediate ashlar ridge stacks, with moulded caps, and a stone slated roof. South west range; two storeys, five bays, with 2-light-flush mullioned windows and casements with single horizontal glazing bars. Three plain openings to first floor with boarded doors. Three single doorways, all with quoining, heavy lintels and plain planked doors. Doorway to south east end with lintel inscribed 1:0, doorway to north west end 1771 with moulded surround and carved keyblock to lintel inscribed 1:0, C20 sliding 1755 doors inserted at centre of range. North east range; two storeys above basement, three bays, with lower two storey range adjoining north east gable. 2-light-flush mullioned windows, that to the central bay ground floor deepened and with C20 joinery. C20 2-light window and combined doorway at south west end. Two storey range has two doorways, one with plaque above inscribed M Listed for group WM 1693 value only.
